Print size and image resolution checker
Drop in your artwork to see how large it can print at 300 DPI and whether it is ready for each product size we make. Or enter a finished size to get the pixel count you need. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
How many pixels do I need?
A 64 mm edge at 300 DPI needs at least 756 pixels on that edge (768 with 0.5 mm of bleed on each side).

How print resolution works
A printer lays down dots; DPI is how many fit in an inch. Divide your image's pixel width by the finished width in inches and you get the effective DPI. At 300 DPI a 64 mm (2.5 in) keychain needs 756 pixels across; the same image used for a 152 mm (6 in) standee prints at only 126 DPI and looks soft. Keep working files layered and export the production PNG at the finished size, in CMYK where your software supports it, with white ink and transparent areas on named layers.
Resolution questions
What resolution does the factory need?
Raster artwork (PNG, PSD, JPG) at 300 DPI at the finished size: a 64 mm (2.5 in) keychain needs about 760 pixels on its longest side, a 152 mm (6 in) standee about 1,800. Vector files (AI, PDF, EPS) scale without loss and do not need a resolution check.
Can I just change the DPI value in my file?
No. Changing the DPI label does not add detail; it only changes how large the same pixels print. A 600-pixel image prints 51 mm wide at 300 DPI whatever the file says. Export a larger image from the original artwork instead.
Does the checker upload my artwork?
No. The image is read in your browser to get its pixel dimensions and is not sent anywhere. Upload artwork only when you place an order or request a quote.
Is 150 DPI ever acceptable?
For large posters and wall hangings viewed from a distance, 150 DPI prints acceptably. For keychains, badges, stickers and standees that are held in the hand, use 300 DPI: fine lines, small text and faces lose detail below that.
How much bleed should I add?
On acrylic, add 0.5 mm of bleed beyond the cut line and keep important details 2 mm inside the finished edge; the editor preview shows the cut contour. Stickers follow the border or bleed of the selected format.
